Description

Super Bowl LX is an upcoming American football championship game that will be played between the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Seattle Seahawks and the American Football Conference (AFC) champion New England Patriots to determine the champion of the National Football League (NFL) for the 2025 season. A rematch of Super Bowl XLIX, the game will be played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

New England advanced to its twelfth Super Bowl appearance and first appearance since Super Bowl LIII in 2019; this will mark the franchise's first Super Bowl in the post Brady-Belichick era. The Patriots vastly improved upon their 2024 season with their new head coach and veteran Patriots' player, Mike Vrabel, who had previously won Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX. Vrabel became the eighth coach in NFL history to reach a Super Bowl in his first year, the seventh Super Bowl head coach in NFL history to have previously won one as a player, and second under the same organization. New England is seeking its seventh Super Bowl title, one that would break a tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Super Bowl championships.

For Seattle, the franchise also improved upon its 2024 record en route to its fourth Super Bowl appearance, and their first in eleven years. The Seahawks seek their second Super Bowl title as well as to avenge their notorious Super Bowl loss against the Patriots in 2015.

Super Bowl LX will be the third Super Bowl to be held in the San Francisco Bay Area and the second at Levi's Stadium, the first being Super Bowl 50 a decade prior. The game will be televised nationally by NBC.
