Rising cruiserweight sensation Pat Brown returns to the site of his professional debut, Planet Ice in Altrincham, to face his toughest test to date in Czech veteran Vasil Ducár. Brown, a former Olympian who has transition seamlessly into the pro ranks with a flawless 100% knockout ratio, has quickly become one of the most talked-about prospects in British boxing. In Ducár, he faces a battle-hardened operator who has shared the ring with some of the division's biggest names, including world champions and top contenders. While Brown’s raw power has seen him blast through his first five opponents with ease, this Matchroom-headlined event is designed to see how he handles the durability and cagey ringcraft of a seasoned international campaigner. With a rabid Manchester crowd behind him, Brown aims to make a definitive statement that he is ready for domestic title contention later this year.

Result Description
Pat Brown passed the toughest test of his young career with flying colors, stopping Vasil Ducár in the eighth round to remain undefeated. Brown started the fight with a measured approach, using a sharp jab and well-timed uppercuts to control the distance. Ducár proved to be as "hard-wearing" as advertised, even drawing blood from Brown’s nose in the third round with a stiff right hand. However, the momentum shifted decisively in the fifth when Brown dropped Ducár with a double-hook combination that sent the veteran to his hands and knees.

Despite Ducár’s incredible resolve, the "sustained pressure" from Brown eventually took its toll. After further knockdowns in the sixth and eighth rounds, the referee, Michael Alexander, waved off the contest at 2:58 of Round 8 after a wobbled Ducár struggled to convince him he could continue. The victory moves Brown to 6-0 and earns him his first professional titles. The undercard also saw a standout performance from William Crolla, who secured a seventh-round TKO victory over Glenn Byrne in a thrilling super-welterweight battle.
