Filip Salač won a chaotic 2026 British Grand Prix Moto2 race at Silverstone Circuit on 9 August 2026, capturing his first career Moto2 victory.
The race was defined by a bizarre blunder from championship leader Manuel Gonzalez, who miscounted the laps and began celebrating a victory with one lap remaining. Gonzalez slowed down, suffered minor contact with Daniel Holgado that broke his exhaust pipe, and ultimately dropped to 14th place. Salač capitalised on the final-lap drama to take the flag.
