Description

The NASCAR Xfinity Series returns to the high-banked, concrete colosseum of Bristol Motor Speedway for the Suburban Propane 300. The primary challenge of this half-mile layout is the high-intensity, close-quarters combat that rewards aggression but punishes over-eagerness. The objective for the field is to survive 300 laps on a surface where "rubbing is racing" is the standard operating procedure. With the concrete corners providing multiple racing grooves, the drivers must find the right balance between the high-side momentum and the short-way-around the bottom.

Strategically, track position is the most valuable currency at Bristol. The goal for Cole Custer and the Stewart-Haas Racing team is to utilize their short-track aero package to maintain control of the restarts, which are frequent and chaotic. The tactical focus for championship contenders like Austin Hill and Chandler Smith is to manage brake heat and tire wear, as the relentless laps offer no reprieve for the mechanical components.
