All eyes at the Chase Center in San Francisco are on Mac McClung as he attempts to make NBA history. Having won the last two competitions, the G League standout is looking to become the first player ever to "three-peat" as Slam Dunk Contest champion. Standing in his way are three explosive young challengers: high-flying rookie Stephon Castle (Spurs), the versatile Matas Buzelis (Bulls), and the powerful Andre Jackson Jr. (Bucks). While McClung enters as the heavy favorite, the field's size and length—particularly the 6'10" Buzelis—could provide the creativity needed to dethrone the king.

Result Description
Mac McClung cemented his place in dunking lore by becoming the first player in history to win three consecutive Slam Dunk Contest titles. It was a performance of pure perfection, as McClung earned a perfect score of 50 on all four of his dunks. He secured the win in the final round against Spurs rookie Stephon Castle, punctuated by a breathtaking final slam where he jumped over 7-footer Evan Mobley, tapped the ball against the rim in mid-air, and hammered it home.

The competition was fierce early on, with Castle moving to the finals after a creative off-the-backboard reverse. Matas Buzelis and Andre Jackson Jr. were eliminated in the first round after struggling to convert their more ambitious attempts on the first try. Despite Castle putting immense pressure on the champ with a 50-point behind-the-back slam in the finals, McClung’s consistency and "car-jumping" theatrics ensured the trophy stayed in his hands for a third straight year.
