The Chemnitz Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany. It is used for sports competitions, concerts, major events, trade fairs and congresses. It was opened at the beginning of 2003 by the then Federal Minister of Transport, Manfred Stolpe, by converting the production hall for aircraft engines built in 1959 on the site of the former Wanderer works. The renovation cost 30 million euros. The client was TLG Immobilien GmbH, which rented it to EMC (Event- und Messegesellschaft Chemnitz).
