The PalaFlorio is the main sports hall in the city of Bari, built between 1989 and 1991 to meet the needs of recreational infrastructures in the large urban area of the capital of Puglia. It was named in 1993 after the sports manager from Bari Pietro Floriano Florio, president of FIPAV from 1977 to 1978.
