ounded in 1924, the original club name was Palma Sola Country Club, which was later changed to Bradenton Country Club after the city was renamed Bradenton from Bradentown.
The course slowly evolved until Ron Garl restored the course in 1999. Not much changed on the golf course until 2018 with Tony Jacklin renovating all 18 holes - including rebuilding all the greens, tees, bunkers, and removing cart paths.
