The Ernst Lehner Stadium (named after the German national soccer player Ernst Lehner ) is located in the Augsburg district of Hochfeld and is part of the district sports facility south . It was inaugurated on March 2nd, 1996 by the city of Augsburg and is the third largest stadium in the city after the WWK-Arena and the Rosenaustadion . The home team is TSV Schwaben Augsburg.

For the new construction of the Ernst Lehner Stadium (construction cost around 4.5 million DM), the old stadium, which was located in the same place, had to be demolished in advance. It was opened with the commissioning of the south sports facility in 1965 and had no grandstand, but was completely surrounded by a five-step standing wall.
