Shinnecock Hills Golf Club is a highly prestigious, private links-style golf club located at 200 Tuckahoe Rd, Southampton, New York. Founded in 1891, it is the oldest incorporated golf club in the United States and was one of the five charter clubs that established the United States Golf Association (USGA). The course is consistently ranked among the top five in the country and is legendary for its rolling terrain, penalizing fescue rough, and unpredictable coastal winds.
The Layout: The current 18-hole course was designed by William Flynn and opened in 1931. Flynn routed the fairways into unique triangular shapes so that players must navigate changing wind directions on almost every hole.
