Description

The UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros men's basketball team represents the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas. The program dates to 1952, when it began play as Pan American College, and competed as the Texas-Pan American Broncs until the 2015 merger of UT Pan American and UT Brownsville created UTRGV and the Vaqueros identity. After eleven seasons in the Western Athletic Conference, the Vaqueros joined the Southland Conference in 2024-25. Home games are played at the 2,500-seat UTRGV Fieldhouse, and Brandon Chambers is the head coach.
