Description
The "Iso-Marlboro" Formula 1 team, a partnership between the Italian sports car company Iso Autoveicoli and Marlboro, was a short-lived team that competed in Formula One in the early 1970s, specifically in the 1973 and 1974 seasons, under the name of Frank Williams Racing Cars.
The team was initially known as Frank Williams Racing Cars, and later as Iso-Marlboro, reflecting the new financial backing
The team's best result was a fourth-place finish for Merzario at the Italian Grand Prix in 1974, earning three World Championship points.
The Iso-Marlboro team, and the subsequent Williams team, played a significant role in the early development of Williams Grand Prix Engineering, which later became a dominant force in Formula One.
