Description
Cory Crawford performed well in amateur golf winning the Malaysian Amateur, making the quarter finals of the Western Amateur in Chicago, finishing runner-up at the Australian Master of the Amateurs at Royal Melbourne and finishing 3rd at the Keperra Bowl in Brisbane.
He gained his PGA Tour of Australasia playing rights almost immediately but was forced back to the Tour School the following year.
His breakthrough came when surviving a six-hole playoff to win the 2017 PNG Open, that success coming after missing eight of his previous nine cuts.
Crawford has played the China Tour in addition to the PGA Tour of Australasia in each of the last two years, a 3rd place finish at the 2018 Vic Open, his best performance in that time although he has been twice 4th on the China Tour.
