


Rodrigo Auzmendi (born 2 January 2001 in Adolfo Gonzales Chaves, Buenos Aires) is an Argentine footballer who plays as a striker for Club Atlético Banfield in the Argentine Primera División.
Career
After passing through the formative divisions of Plaza Colonia, Porto and Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, Rodrigo Auzmendi arrived in 2022 in San Marcos de Arica, where he made his professional debut on May 7, 2022, in a 2-1 victory against Rodelindo Román, for the fifth date of the 2022 Chilean Professional Second Division tournament, where Auzmendi scored the winning goal. That year they would also win the championship, and therefore, promotion to the Promotion League.
On April 8, 2023, he scored a goal against Trasandino de Socoroma, in a match corresponding to the Copa Chile 2023. His time with the Arica team culminated with 10 goals in 31 games played.
For 2024 he joins Fútbol Club Motagua, of the Honduran National Soccer League, where he shared a team with his brother Agustín Auzmendi, and during his stay at the club, he played 49 games, scored 24 goals and won the 2024 Apertura Tournament.
For the second half of 2025, he returned to his native country to play for Banfield, of the Argentine First Division, playing his first game with the institution, on July 20 of that year, in the 2–1 victory against Newell's Old Boys, and where Auzmendi participated in both of his team's goals, scoring the first and assisting in the second.
