David van der Werff (born 31 August 2004 in Eelde-Paterswolde) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a midfielder. He plays for FC Groningen.
Career
Van der Werff was scouted by FC Groningen at VV Actief in Eelde. He went through the entire youth academy of FC Groningen and was offered his first professional contract on June 7, 2024. He made his debut in the first team on 15 December 2024, against FC Twente in the Eredivisie (0-2). He came into the team in the 77th minute for Romano Postema. Three days later, he made his debut in the KNVB Cup, against AZ (1-3). With half an hour to play, he came in for Jorg Schreuders.
