The son of 1995 Hungarian Rally Champion Janos Wieszt, the younger Wieszt inherited the motorsport bug from his father and began racing go-karts at the age of nine, going on to claim titles on both the domestic and international stage.
After a break from competition, he rejoined the track in 2022. Having acquired a pair of Renault Mégane RS RX Supercars – originally developed by Prodrive for GCK to run during the 2018 FIA World Rallycross Championship campaign – he and his father entered the final two rounds of the British Rallycross Championship’s 5 Nations Trophy at Lydden Hill in 2023 under the ‘Impossible RX Team’ banner.
In a high-calibre field that included multiple British Champion Patrick O’Donovan, former World RX event-winner Sebastian Eriksson and European front-runner Mikko Ikonen, Wieszt Jnr reached the rostrum on the second day. He subsequently joined the World RX grid for his home event at Nyirád in 2024, stunning with a third-place finish first time out.
