Career
Beginnings
In the words of the player himself, "I started playing in Villa del Prado, and from there I went to San Martín, in the Alta Gracia Children's League. I also played some friendly championships for Platense. From there I went to Atlético Carlos Paz where I stayed for two or three years. A representative spoke to me who got me a trial at Racing. I stayed, but I didn't go because I was very young, I was going to miss it a lot. Then I went to try out for Boca."
Boca Juniors
Rivero made his debut for Boca Juniors on Sunday, October 2, 2022, in a 1-0 win against Vélez Sarsfield. At 19 years of age, Simón came on in the 86th minute for Óscar Romero. A week later he added minutes at the end of the match against Aldosivi.
Union of Santa Fe
In 2024 he was loaned to Unión de Santa Fe, in a negotiation that included the transfer of Kevin Zenón and the loan of Rivero. The youth player made his debut in May.
Return to Boca
After his loan he returned to Boca but was not taken into account by coach Fernando Gago and when he did not get a club he continued training with the professional squad but without adding official minutes.
Tiger
The arrival of Miguel Ángel Russo to the Xeneize bench did not change his situation, which is why in July 2025 he went to Tigre on loan for 18 months. [7
