A local Victorian junior who played for the Sunbury Tigers, Dean progressed through the Victoria Thunderbolts system and was promoted to Storm's top 30 squad two days after scoring a try in the 2021 pre-season trial win against Newcastle.

After being crowned Melbourne Storm’s 2021 Rookie of the Year, Dean Ieremia, rang in yet another solid season in 2022 where he registered 11 appearances and three tries.

Unfortunately Ieremia would be sidelined for the entire 2023 season after injuring ACL in Storm’s pre-season trial against the Sydney Roosters.

During 2025 pre-season training, Ieremia unfortunately suffered an achilles rupture and will be sidelined for at least 6 months.
