


Nathanael Halbert (born 30 September 1995 in Nottingham, England) is a British professional ice hockey player who has played for HK Olimpija of the Austrian Ice Hockey League since 2025.
Career
Nathanael Halbert, who comes from Nottingham, began his career as an ice hockey player in the Canadian province of Ontario. At the end of the 2011–12 season, he won the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) championship with the Stouffville Spirit. He then moved to the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec (LHJMQ), where he played for the Armada de Blainville-Boisbriand and Phoenix de Sherbrooke. In 2016, he began studying at McGill University in Montreal, during which he played for the university team there in the Ontario University Athletics division of U Sports. After graduating, he signed with Rocket de Laval of the American Hockey League (AHL). However, he was unable to assert himself there. So he returned to his homeland in 2021, where he played two years for the Coventry Blaze in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). In 2023, he was selected to the league's Second All-Star Team. He then moved to HC Innsbruck in the Austrian Ice Hockey League. In 2024, he moved on to HKM Zvolen in the Slovakian Extraliga. But even there he only stayed for one year. Since 2025, he has been under contract with HK Olimpija in the Austrian Ice Hockey League.
