Samuel Trenton Long (born July 8, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics.
He played college baseball at California State University, Sacramento. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 18th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. In 2018, at 23 years of age, he stopped playing baseball for a year and explored becoming a firefighter. He made his MLB debut in June 2021.
