Marino Sato is a Japanese racing driver currently racing for Virtuosi Racing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship.
In 2015 Sato competed in the Italian F4 Championship for Vincenzo Sospiri Racing. He finished on the podium once and came 10th in the final standings. Sato would remain with the team for the 2016 season, however, even though he won a race at Imola, he only finished 18th in the driver's championship.
Sato drove in the 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship, replacing Arjun Maini for Campos Racing from the 2019 Spa-Francorchamps FIA Formula 2 round onwards. He would not score any points and finished 21st in the championship. In 2020 he signed for Trident Racing to partner Roy Nissany in the 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship.
