Simone McKinnis is the coach of the Melbourne Vixens.
McKinnis played netball with the Australian National team, in the wing defense position from 1986 to 1998. She played 63 tests with the Australia National team. She was a member of the world championship winning teams of 1991 and 1995, and the Commonwealth games gold medal winning team in 1998. Since retiring, McKinnis has had a number of coaching roles both in Australia and overseas. She was named the Coach of the Year for her managing performance at the Melbourne Vixens in 2017.
McKinnis was inducted into Netball Australia’s Hall of Fame in 2010.
