


Diogo Gonçalves is a 29-year-old Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a left winger or attacking midfielder for Turkish Süper Lig club Konyaspor.
Born in Almodôvar, Portugal, Gonçalves started his career at local club CD Almodôvar in 2005. In 2007, he joined FC Ferreiras. A year later, Gonçalves joined S.L. Benfica's youth system.
On 14 February 2015, after being promoted from the youth team, Gonçalves debuted for Benfica B, as a substitute, playing 20 minutes in a home win against Oliveirense (4–1) in Segunda Liga.
On 24 May 2015, Gonçalves scored his first goal for Benfica B in a home win over Vitória de Guimarães B (2–1). On 29 May, he scored the only goal of a friendly held for the opening of F.C. United of Manchester's Broadhurst Park.
He made his first appearance for S.L. Benfica's senior team on 9 August 2017 over S.C. Braga in a 3–1 victory. On 18 October, Gonçalves made his first performance for S.L. Benfica in the UEFA Champions League in a 0–1 loss to Manchester United.
Gonçalves has represented Portugal at various levels up to Portugal U21's level.
