Matty Lund is a professional footballer who recently retired from professional play after a career as a midfielder, most notably with Salford City and Rochdale. As of March 2026, he has transitioned into coaching and is currently the Owner & Football Coach of Boots and Beyond Football, a coaching business he launched in January 2026.
Lund began his career with English club Stoke City in the Premier League, where he failed to make his debut. He instead made his senior debut while a loan spell at Hereford United in November 2010.
Lund has played internationally for Northern Ireland six times at under-21 level.
