Tiago Cardoso Mendes, OIH (born 2 May 1981), known simply as Tiago (Portuguese pronunciation: ), is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder.

He played in five of Europe's major leagues: Portugal, England, France, Italy and Spain. He notably spent eight seasons with Atlético Madrid, winning five major titles including the 2014 national championship and the 2012 Europa League.

A Portuguese international on over 60 occasions, Tiago represented the nation in two World Cups and Euro 2004.
