Michael David Green (born October 12, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings and Edmonton Oilers.
Best known for his hard slapshot, Green put up impressive offensive statistics for a defenceman from 2007 to 2010. He was given the nickname "Game Over Green" during the 2007–08 season when he displayed a propensity for scoring game-winning goals in the last minutes of the third period or overtime.
