


Campeonato Capixaba de Futebol, also known as Capixabão, is the main football competition in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. Organized by the Espírito Santo State Football Federation (FES), it is the main local tournament for clubs from Espírito Santo. Currently, the champion guarantees a spot in the Copa do Brasil, the Copa Verde, and the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D the following year, while the runner-up guarantees only a spot in the Copa do Brasil.
Its first edition took place in 1917, with five clubs, and its first champion was América. Until 1930, it was contested only by clubs from the capital city of Vitória. With 39 titles, Rio Branco is the most successful team in the Espírito Santo tournament since then.
