Conflicting API-Football id's

When syncing player line-ups from API-Football some players to be imported have a different API ID number to a player already in the db.
example ( Nicolás Cardona, (297927) from API-Football (540948)
Not sure how to proceed , any suggestions

Yeh I've see it a few times. Usually I apply the higher ID as it means its more recent. But sometimes its also an error we cant really fix.
