Hello, I am currently using your API service. During my usage, I noticed that some teams' schedule data is missing from the NBA regular season listings. While the win-loss records for these teams appear to be complete, I have compiled a list of the missing schedules; could you please review it and fill in the missing data?

Oklahoma City Thunder 80
San Antonio Spurs 80
Los Angeles Lakers 81
Phoenix Suns 81
Toronto Raptors 81
New York Knicks 80
Orlando Magic 80
Miami Heat 81

The above cases involve teams that played fewer than the standard 82 regular-season games. I have double-checked, and the API calls consistently return incomplete data for these specific instances. Could you please notify me once this issue has been resolved?

This is my impression; alternatively, if this data is indeed available via the API, please let me know.

Hi,

I've just checked the data and I can confirm your findings. I'm not sure exactly what is missing though or why. Do you think you would be able to find what games are missing exactly?

Here is what I got:

I’m afraid I can’t handle this myself; comparing the games one by one would be far too time-consuming and mentally exhausting. You’ll need to handle this internally and carry out the necessary fixes. After all, there are over a thousand games in the regular season. You can use the specific teams I mentioned—the ones with missing schedule data—as a reference point to cross-check against the official records and fill in the gaps.

Possibly double headers on the same day? Or some kind of extra tournament? Maybe @ovokx knows?

I think you solved it, I think the extra games are for teams that got to the finals of the NBA Cup, the bracket matches up with the missing teams.

Totally slipped my mind that those games counted towards the regular season standings https://www.thesportsdb.com/season/5506-nba-cup/2025

So, has the issue been resolved now? Can I re-sync the schedule into the database to complete the missing data?

With the exception of the championship game, all games in NBA Cup are counted as regular season games so, if you want an 82-games by team, you will need to also include those games

Since these specific matches were not classified as regular-season games when I previously integrated your API, the win-loss calculations on our website have become inaccurate. All other websites base their algorithms on the standard 82-game regular season schedule. I need to confirm: have you now reclassified these particular matches as part of the regular season? This would ensure that when I next retrieve the data, our regular-season records are fully complete; otherwise, am I expected to manually add and correct this information via our own backend system?

The 'missing' results are here https://www.thesportsdb.com/season/5506-nba-cup/2025 we can't integrate them for you. They're correctly segregated into their own compeititons.

Blame the NBA for making it difficult to calculate the standings. 😂

Here is what I got:

I have manually patched these seven regular-season games. It also looks like two teams are missing one game each.

Denver Nuggets 81
Charlotte Hornets81
There should actually be 8 in total. The link you provided opens to 7.

The final match doesn't count towards the regular season records. It works for me.
