How do I get the 2nd round of the playoffs, the url eventsround.php?id=4387&r=160&s=2024-2025 works for the first round but r=170 doesn't work? Using v2 with schedule next shows some upcoming games, but it doesn't seem to be a specific number. I get the next 9 games. Is this the current expected workflow for NBA playoff games?

The round numbers can be found here at the bottom . If properly maintained by the websites users they should match up.

Please note that we can't accommodate some of the round names, here 160 is used for all of the play-in games and first round, then the conference semi finals use 125, the conference finals will be 150, and the finals will be 200.

Rounds
Special
125 = Quarter-Final
150 = Semi-Final
160 = Playoff
170 = Playoff Semi-Final
180 = Playoff Final
200 = Final
400 = Qualifier
500 = Pre-Season

With 125, I get null returned with this: https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/key/eventsround.php?id=4387&r=125&s=2024-2025

Does this look correct? I replaced 125 with 160 and that returns a result. The conference semi-finals are ongoing.

I was just building my API based on these the other day. There isn’t any games this year that use 125 for the round.
Current round numbers used on this nba season are here:
https://www.thesportsdb.com/season/4387-nba/2024-2025&r=160 - Labeled as Playoff

https://www.thesportsdb.com/season/4387-nba/2024-2025&r=170 - Labeled as Playoff Semi-Final

I think some of the games are not set to the correct round.
I built my code to pull everything between those 2 teams from that season both ways (home and away) then filter out regular season, pre season and qualifier then it just assumes the rest are playoffs between those teams.

Also Playin games on NBA this season used 400.

Yes someone seems to have changed them. I have now reverted them to 125.

To whoever changed them - I know they are not quarter-finals in NBA vernacular, but as they are the last 8 teams these games should be treated as a quarter-final stage as far as this site is concerned.

Next will be semi-finals and then the final.

Hi, I'm the one who updates NBA rounds following the next structure:

500 = Pre-Season games
0 = Regular season games
400 = Play-In
160 = Playoff (First Round)
170 = Conf. Semifinals
180 = Conf. Finals
200 = Final

Hi Ovokx, this need to be multi-sport consistent, so any time when there are 8 teams left in a tournament it should be treated as quarter-finals. Same with 4 for semi-finals, and 2 for the final.

I was using that round naming based on how NBA officially named its post-season games (Play-In, Playoff & Finals):

I understand, and its frustrating not to be able to replicate exact tournament scenarios for every league, but we need to try and keep it as uniform as possible across all sports.

Last two teams will always be a final, last 4 teams - semi-finals, last 8 teams - quarter-finals.
