Posts: 3 Joined: 2025 | Hey guys, First time poster and need some big help. I have coded a sports ticker that I currently have hooked up to my TV. Everything looks great right now. I get all logos, broadcast information, live updates, etc. I get all of that information via ESPNs API. Here's the only problem. I want the odds as well. (Spread and Total) Now I know there are a bunch of paid APIs out there. But I would be using it 1-2 a week, and it would be on constantly throughout the day 10-12 hrs/day. That would be way too many calls. So I coded it to get the opening lines, and cache those. Here's the problem. I don't want to pay for fetching those lines. since they are being cached and staying there. I know that I could web scrape. I don't think I'm ready for that though. I'd also love to share pictures/videos of that, but can't seem to upload any on this site. Any help is appreciated. | ||

Posts: 3 Joined: 2025 | https://photos.app.goo.gl/GCwyzauFg462U3mm8 The odds are supposed to display next to the team name: Bucks (-3.5) Nets (+3.5) And all of the over/unders say N/A This is because ESPN API doesn't have them. This is the only thing I need filled in. Wouldn't require thousands of calls/day since it is only opening lines and cached. Thanks | ||
