Description

Superpole Race
Alvaro Bautista comfortably notched up his 13th win of the 2019 World Superbike Championship season with an untroubled lights-to-flag ride in the Jerez Superpole Race, as Jonathan Rea limited the damage to his title hopes by recovering from last to fourth.
In a repeat of the top three from race one, Michael van der Mark and Marco Melandri followed Bautista home in second and third.

Race 2
An inch-perfect Michael van der Mark scores his and Yamaha's first WorldSBK win of the season after Alvaro Bautista falls from the lead early on, with the battle for victory over to van der Mark and Rea, the top two quickly began about trying to get the edge on one another. After several changes of position, van der Mark moved ahead on lap seven and slowly began to eke out a lead as Rea struggled increasingly with tyre wear. Joining them on the podium was Toprak Razgatlioglu.
