Description Following several modification measures, the length of the 'Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli' amounts today amounts to exactly 4,226 metres. The circuit features 16 corners, six left-handers and 10 right-handers. A layout that doesn't offer much room for high-speed section. The longest straight has got a length of just 656 metres. The circuit located at the Adria's Riviera, in the Emilia-Romagna, was opened in 1972. Since 2007, the races held at the Italian Spa's circuit are contested clockwise. Misano is a modern, demanding driver circuit with different corner radii and a lot of changes of direction. To date, DTM and Misano hadn't any points of contact. The German Super Touring Car Championship's (STW) race meeting in 1999 was the only one a German series held at the 13,000-citizen town.
