Description England's Kent county, some 30 kilometres to the south-east of London, is the home of a circuit that makes the heart of every racer and every motor-racing enthusiast beat faster. Brands Hatch stands for history and British motor racing at its best. It already staged motorbike races on a grass circuit far back in 1926. Among the drivers that made it to the top step at the time-honoured facility also were legends such as Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, James Hunt or Ayrton Senna. From 1964 to 1986 the circuit was the venue of 14 Formula World Championship rounds. From 2006 to 2013, eight DTM races were contested south-east of London but all on the circuit's short 1.973-kilometre Indy layout. This year, however, on 11th and 12th August, the DTM drivers will have to battle it out on the longer version. The 3.908-kilometre GP circuit is a rollercoaster across a forested landscape and is regarded as extreme challenge for both vehicles and drivers.
