The New York City ePrix is an annual race of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship held in Brooklyn, New York. The inaugural event, the 2017 New York City ePrix, was a two-race event on July 15–16, 2017.
The 2018 Qatar Airways New York City E-Prix sees all-electric racing return to the neighbourhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn for the second year running. Featuring stunning views of the iconic Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty, the waterfront location will host the double-header season finale, bringing Season Four of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship to a close, with a new champion crowned.
Featuring an even longer track than last season, spanning 1.52-miles (2.45-km), the drivers will race along the waterfront, in front of fans and families, lining the track.

Jean-Eric Vergne clinched the Formula E title.
Vergne charged from the back of the grid to finish fifth with title rival Sam Bird of Britain only ninth, leaving him in an unassailable 31-point lead ahead of the second race of the weekend double-header in New York.
He is the fourth different champion in the four years of the Formula E championship, but the first to wrap up the title with a round still remaining, such has been the close nature of the competition and racing in the emerging supercharged series.
