Spurs add to Magpies' woes as Harry Kane gets back on the goal trail. The England striker notched Spurs' third at St. James' Park after Christian Eriksen and Nacer Chadli had earlier got on the scoresheet.
As Harry Kane slotted home Spurs' third goal, what remained of the St James' Park crowd emptied.

Those Newcastle fans who boycotted the game from the start, knew exactly what they were likely to miss.

A sixth defeat in a row for the Geordies, equalling their worst spell in the Premier League. Since December that's 12 defeats in 18 league games and just three wins for Newcastle as they slide down the league.

Those who turned up to watch, and ignored the boycott, mustered some booing, as Kane celebrated. They were left to ponder why they too hadn't stayed away?

And left asking why they'd forked out to support a club going nowhere, and doing nothing to arrest the decline.
