Event Statistics

Description

An intense atmosphere fills as Real Madrid travels to Hungary to take on local powerhouse Ferencváros TC in a high-profile summer friendly in Budapest. The primary hurdle for Real Madrid is integrating new tactical concepts and sharpening peak fitness levels while managing squad fatigue late in their pre-season tour. The objective for the Spanish side is to establish quick ball movement through the central channels, utilizing sharp combination play to breach a compact defensive setup. Concurrently, the mission for Ferencváros centers on maintaining defensive discipline in front of a roaring home crowd, absorbing early pressure, and looking to hit on swift counter-attacking transitions to disrupt their opponents' rhythm.

Real Madrid secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory against Hungarian champion Ferencváros at Groupama Aréna in Budapest. The visitors established control during the first half and opened the scoring in the 41st minute when Mario Rivas powered home a header following sustained corner pressure. Shortly after the interval, Carlos Espí doubled the advantage in the 49th minute by finishing off a swift passing combination started by Antonio Rüdiger. Ferencváros responded eight minutes later as Kenan Kodro converted a cross from Kristoffer Zachariassen to bring the hosts back into the match. Real Madrid comfortably managed possession through the closing stages to complete their pre-season trip to Hungary with a win.
