The second round of the 2026 Betfred World Matchplay takes place across Tuesday 21 July and Wednesday 22 July at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. Matches are contested under a best-of-21-legs format, meaning the first player to reach 11 legs wins (with a requirement to win by two clear legs up to a sudden-death limit of 13-13).

Luke Littler hit a phenomenal nine-darter to headline an electric Day 4 of the 2026 Betfred World Matchplay on Tuesday, July 21, at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. The night kicked off the second round of action with four high-stakes, best-of-21-leg matches, resulting in massive wins and a major exit for a three-time champion.
Beyond hitting the perfect leg in leg one, "The Nuke" fired in 14 maximum 180s. His final match average of 113.68 goes down as the second-highest average ever recorded in the history of the World Matchplay, sitting just behind Phil Taylor's 114.99 set back in 2010.
