Viktor Hovland won the 2026 Travelers Championship on Monday, 29 June 2026, defeating world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler on the first sudden-death playoff hole.
The final PGA Tour Signature Event of the month was held at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. After a severe weather delay on Sunday afternoon, the tournament was forced into a rare Monday morning finish. Both players finished regulation tied at 21-under par. In the playoff on the par-4 18th, Hovland drained a 7-foot birdie putt, while Scheffler missed his 3-foot attempt, securing Hovland's eighth career PGA Tour title and a $3.6 million payout.
Morikawa's Charge: Collin Morikawa fired a blistering 9-under 61 in the final round to vault into solo third, missing the playoff by just one stroke.

Charity Record: Beyond the tournament action, the Travelers Championship officially announced it raised a record-breaking $5 million for more than 270 local charities.
