The high-stakes Triple Crown action continued at Huntington Bank Field on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The primary challenge for the 450SX field in the second Main Event was a track that had become increasingly "notchy" and slick following the earlier rain and the 250SX motos. The objective for Justin Cooper, who finished third in the opening race, was to improve his start and challenge the early momentum of the championship leaders.

Strategically, the goal for the 12-minute plus one-lap sprint was to manage the deteriorating ruts in the rhythm sections, which had already claimed several riders in the qualifying sessions. The tactical focus for Ken Roczen was to stay within striking distance of the lead to maximize his overall night's score, while the ultimate goal for the pack was to avoid the mid-moto fading that often occurs on the heavy Cleveland clay.

Result Description
Justin Cooper delivered a statement performance to take the win in the second 450SX Main Event. Cooper’s primary objective was to secure the holeshot, and he achieved this perfectly, powering his Star Racing Yamaha to the front of the pack immediately. Once in the lead, he maintained a high intensity that prevented the field from mounting a serious challenge, eventually crossing the line with a comfortable margin to secure his first race win of the night.

The battle for the remaining podium spots was a display of veteran race craft. Ken Roczen found himself in a heated three-way battle for second with Chase Sexton and Cooper Webb. Roczen utilized a creative rhythm through the section following the finish line to move past Sexton into second place late in the moto. Sexton attempted to retaliate but ultimately settled for third. Meanwhile, the championship leader, Hunter Lawrence, struggled to replicate his opening-race dominance; a mediocre start left him fighting through traffic, and he could only manage a fifth-place finish. This result left Cooper and Roczen tied for the overall lead heading into the final race of the night.
