Description

An exciting international pre-season clash takes place at Kai Tak Sports Park as English powerhouse Chelsea meets Italian giants Juventus for The Herbalgy Trophy in Hong Kong. The primary hurdle for Chelsea is establishing tactical fluidness and sharp press resistance while continuing to test squad depth during their Asian tour. The objective for the Blues is to control central midfield possession, creating high-percentage scoring chances through dynamic wing play and rapid transition attacks. Concurrently, the mission for Juventus centers on maintaining a structured defensive shape, neutralizing the opponent's speed in wide areas, and striking effectively through precise counter-attacks.

Result Description

Juventus secured a 1–0 victory over Chelsea in front of over 43,000 spectators at Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong. Following a tightly contested and goalless first half where Chelsea debuts were handed to Danny Welbeck and Geovany Quenda, Juventus broke the deadlock in the 68th minute. Second-half substitute Edon Zhegrova collected a pass on the edge of the penalty area from Kenan Yıldız and curled a magnificent first-time shot into the top corner. Chelsea pressed hard for a late equalizer, with substitutes Estêvão Willian and Roméo Lavia testing the target, but second-half goalkeeper Mattia Perin made critical saves to maintain the clean sheet and secure the win for the Serie A side.
