The PGA TOUR Americas continues its swing through South America at the historic Cordoba Golf Club for the 94th edition of the Abierto del Centro. The primary challenge of this classic "Parkland" layout is its narrow fairways lined with mature Tipa trees and undulating greens that require high-level precision and course management. The objective for the 144-player field is to navigate the elevation changes characteristic of the Villa Allende region while adjusting to the local breezes that often intensify in the afternoon.

Strategically, the goal for Round 1 is to maximize scoring on the reachable par-5s to set an early pace in what is traditionally a high-scoring event. The tactical focus for the field is to maintain discipline off the tee, as the "El Gato" Romero-designed course heavily penalizes wayward drives with difficult recovery shots from the thick grove.
