Description

The Coppa Shell and Coppa Shell Am contenders return to the 3.74-mile Sebring International Raceway for the final qualifying session of the Florida weekend. The primary challenge for the field is the rapidly rising track temperature, which alters the grip levels on the abrasive concrete sections of the Ullman Straight and Sunset Bend. The objective for the drivers is to refine their line choices through the technical "Tower" and "Hairpin" turns to find the extra tenths of a second required for a front-row start.

Strategically, the 15-minute session is a high-speed game of finding clean air. The goal for Race 1 winner Mike Chen is to repeat his pole-winning performance from Saturday and minimize the risk of being caught in traffic.
