The final round at the Blackstone Course at Mission Hills Resort Haikou presents a high-stakes showdown for the $2,550,000 prize purse. The primary challenge for the co-leaders, Jordan Gumberg and Jorge Campillo, is to maintain composure on the treacherous volcanic terrain that has punished aggressive play throughout the week. The objective for Gumberg is to secure a wire-to-wire victory and his second DP World Tour title, while Campillo aims to leverage his extensive experience to overturn the American's early dominance and claim a fourth tour crown.

Strategically, the closing 18 holes are a test of nerve and course management. The goal for the final group is to successfully navigate the "lava-strewn" back nine, where the narrow fairways and undulating greens of the Blackstone layout demand absolute precision. The tactical focus for chasers like Dylan Frittelli and local prodigy Yanhan Zhou is to ignite an early charge on the reachable par-5s to pressure the leaders before the final stretch. With 585 Race to Dubai points and significant world ranking points on the line, the ultimate goal for the contenders is to stay patient and capitalize on the few remaining scoring opportunities in the tropical heat.

Result Description
Jordan Gumberg secured a dramatic wire-to-wire victory at the 2026 Hainan Classic, carding a final-round 2-under-par 70 to finish with a winning total of 19-under-par. Gumberg’s objective was to withstand the relentless pressure from playing partner Jorge Campillo, and he did so by remaining steady during a tense back-nine duel. Despite a bogey on the 3rd hole, birdies on the 1st, 6th, and a decisive gain on the 11th allowed him to hold off the Spaniard by a single stroke.

The battle came down to the final green, where Jorge Campillo’s birdie attempt to force a playoff stayed "agonizingly" above the hole, leaving him in solo second at 18-under-par after a closing 71. The day was also a landmark for 17-year-old Chinese amateur Yanhan Zhou, who shared third place at 15-under-par alongside Marcus Armitage and Adrian Otaegui. Otaegui provided the round of the day, a "scintillating" bogey-free 64 that featured an eagle at the 12th. While Dylan Frittelli fell out of contention following a difficult front nine, Gumberg’s victory marks a remarkable turnaround for the American, coming just months after a career-saving eagle in South Korea.
