The final round at Seri Selangor Golf Club features a historic four-way tie at the top of the leaderboard, setting the stage for a high-stakes conclusion to the ADT season opener. The primary challenge for co-leaders Nicklaus Chiam, Matthew Cheung, Adam Coull, and Poom Pattaropong is navigating the "nerve-wracking" back nine, where the greens are at their firmest. The objective for the leaders is to maintain driving accuracy on the narrow corridors of the Valley Course to avoid the penalizing rough that has dictated the scoring all week.

Strategically, the final 18 holes are a test of positional play and putting resolve. The goal for the field is to survive the treacherous par-4 18th, a hole guarded by a significant water hazard that has historically decided the champion. The tactical focus for the chasing pack, including Khavish Varadan and Ryosuke Kinoshita, is to apply early pressure on the front nine to force the lead group into a defensive mindset. With a US$175,000 purse and critical Order of Merit points at stake, the objective is to find the correct tiers on the undulating surfaces to avoid the high-risk lag putting that defines this venue.

Result Description
Nicklaus Chiam (SGP) secured his first professional victory at the PKNS Selangor Masters in a dramatic Valentine's Day finish. After carding a final-round 70 to finish tied at 10-under-par, Chiam entered a three-man playoff against local favorite Khavish Varadan and Thailand’s Runchanapong Youprayong. The objective was finally realized on the third extra hole, where Chiam drained a "clutch" 20-foot birdie putt to seal the title and the US$30,625 winner's check.

The final round was defined by a stunning collapse from Hong Kong's Matthew Cheung, who led by two strokes on the 17th hole but suffered a triple-bogey on the 18th after finding the water hazard. Khavish Varadan thrilled the local gallery with a bogey-free 67 to set the clubhouse target, while Youprayong carded a 68 to join the playoff. Ultimately, Runchanapong was eliminated on the first extra hole, leaving Chiam and Varadan to battle for two more holes before the Singaporean's decisive putt. The win marks back-to-back Singaporean victories on the ADT and cements Chiam’s position as the early leader in the 2026 Order of Merit.
