After carding a final-round 70 to finish tied at 10-under-par, Chiam entered a three-man playoff against local favorite Khavish Varadan and Thailand’s Runchanapong Youprayong. The objective was finally realized on the third extra hole, where Chiam drained a "clutch" 20-foot birdie putt to seal the title and the US$30,625 winner's check.
