Description

The final round at La Vie Est Belle Golf & Resort is set to be a high-stakes conclusion to the KPGA Tour's season opener. The primary challenge for the leaders is maintaining their composure on the Oaks Course's notoriously difficult closing stretch, which features several "risk-reward" par-4s guarded by deep bunkers and water hazards. The objective for the chasing pack is to exploit the morning’s calmer conditions and post a low score to apply pressure on the final groups.

Strategically, the final 18 holes are a test of precision and nerve. The goal for the field is to navigate the "glass-like" tiered greens that have become increasingly firm throughout the week. The objective for the leader is to play "percentage golf," targeting the centers of the greens on the difficult par-3s while staying aggressive on the reachable par-5 6th and 11th holes. With a ₩1,000,000,000 purse at stake, the tactical focus is on avoiding the "big number" that can quickly derail a championship run in the mountainous Gangwon terrain.
