The final round at Mae Jo Golf Resort & Spa arrived with the weight of expectation on the shoulders of the local favorites. The primary challenge for the overnight leader, Newport Laporojkit, was maintaining his composure through the "championship stretch" of the back nine, where water hazards and tight fairways have derailed many title hopes. The objective for the chasing pack, led by Natipong Srithong and Tanapat Pichaikool, was to apply early pressure and force the leader into a defensive mindset.

Strategically, the final 18 holes were a test of emotional control and tactical discipline. The goal for the frontrunners was to target the centers of the greens and rely on their putting, which has been the "X-factor" all week in Chiang Mai. The objective for the long hitters was to stay aggressive on the par-5s to manufacture an early eagle or birdie run. With a ฿3,000,000 purse on the line, the tactical focus for the final group was to match each other's scores and wait for a definitive opening on the closing holes.

Tanapat Pichaikool claimed the 2026 Singha Chiang Mai Open title after a dramatic final-day surge and a high-stakes playoff against Natipong Srithong. Starting the day several strokes back, Pichaikool carded a steady even-par 72 to finish at 8-under-par total. He was matched by Srithong, who fired a final-round 71 to force the extra holes. In the playoff, Pichaikool demonstrated "ice-cold nerves," securing the victory on the second extra hole to capture his first major title of the season.

The final round saw a significant leaderboard shakeup as overnight leader Newport Laporojkit struggled to find his rhythm, ultimately finishing in a tie for 22nd after a challenging afternoon. Meanwhile, Runchanapong Youprayong secured solo third at 6-under-par, while Kyaw Thet Oo from Myanmar mounted a late charge with a 3-under 69 to finish in a tie for fourth. The day was highlighted by Chapchai Nirat, who produced the "round of the tournament" with a flawless 8-under-par 64 to vault into the top 10.
