Description

The second round at Mae Jo Golf Resort & Spa presented a traditional "moving day" atmosphere as the field battled to secure their positions for the weekend. Newport Laporojkit (THA) delivered a stunning performance in the second round, carding a brilliant 6-under-par 64 to claim the 36-hole lead. Laporojkit was clinical throughout the day, recording six birdies and zero bogeys to reach a total of 12-under-par. His ability to "manage the challenging greens" allowed him to distance himself from the pack, entering the weekend with a commanding six-stroke cushion.

Following the leader, Thanyakon Khrongpha (THA) and Parathakorn Suyasri (THA) share second place at 6-under-par after rounds of 66 and 67, respectively. First-round co-leader Kyaw Thet Oo (MYA) remains in the hunt at 2-under-par despite a steady but quieter second round.
