In the opening round of the 2026 ROWE Motor Oil Premiership, the King’s Lynn Stars secured a 49–41 victory over the Sheffield Tigers at the Adrian Flux Arena on Monday, 27 April 2026.
Teenage Debutants: 16-year-old Cooper Rushen made a stellar Premiership debut for the Stars, scoring 10+1. Fellow teenager Jody Scott added a crucial 7+2, helping the team cover for the absence of the injured Paco Castagna.
Despite the Stars holding an early ten-point lead, Sheffield fought back to within two points by Heat 13. The meeting was decided in Heat 15, where Max Fricke took the win and skipper Chris Harris pulled off a spectacular move to pass both Jack and Chris Holder for a maximum 5-1 finish.
