KSW has officially announced one of the most anticipated middleweight fights. At XTB KSW 118 in Kalisz, an interim title bout will take place — Piotr Kuberski will face Michał Michalski.

The fight will take place on May 16 at Arena Kalisz and will mark the first event by Poland’s largest MMA organization in this city. The interim middleweight championship will be on the line.

Kuberski riding a wave of knockouts

Piotr Kuberski is currently in outstanding form. “Qbear” holds a professional MMA record of 17–1, with most of his victories coming by stoppage.

In recent years, he has defeated many top middleweight contenders, including Radosław Paczuski, Tomasz Romanowski, Damian Janikowski, Michał Materla, and Bartosz Leśko.

His impressive winning streak led him to capture the interim KSW title, which he will now defend against another top contender.

Michalski on a winning streak

On the other side of the cage will be Michał Michalski, who is also in excellent form. “Cukier” currently holds a 14–5 record and is riding a five-fight winning streak.

In his recent bouts, he defeated Damian Janikowski, Andi Vrtačić, Bartosz Leśko, and Dominik Humburger.

The fighter from Radom has long expressed his desire to fight for the KSW middleweight title — and now he gets his chance.

Title unification with the winner of Pawlak vs Khalidov?

The clash between Kuberski and Michalski could have major implications for the KSW middleweight division. Both fighters are among the elite, and the winner will significantly strengthen their position in the race for the undisputed title, which will be contested one month earlier by Paweł Pawlak and Mamed Khalidov.
